Supporting Mechanism of Pile-Anchor Systems for Deep Foundation Pits in Alpine Regions during the Spring Thaw

This study investigated the supporting mechanism of retaining piles and prestressed anchor cables a deep foundation pit in alpine regions during spring thaw. A numerical model was developed based on subway project Changchun City. Field monitoring data were used to analyze variations ground settlement, horizontal displacement pile tops, axial force thaw under different working conditions. The results demonstrated that changes settlement primarily occurred late stages with no obvious phenomena because top most remained stable. gradually decreased then sharply increased early slowly middle stages. Increasing length certain point. Moreover, increasing first cable but lower four cables. Furthermore, spacing five incident angle first, third, fourth second minimized at an 14°, fifth angles 16° 18°.
